Diver Launch System (DLS)

Comprising an adjustable A-frame, two top-mounted hydraulically-controlled man-riding winches, a diving cage, control box and clump weight, the DLS provides safe, flexible deployment and recovery of industrial divers whilst being easy to transport, install and store.

When designing the DLS, safety was paramount. The system is proven and certified by Lloyds Register and complies with IMCA regulations. A key advantage of the DLS over conventional systems is that the two man-riding winches are mounted on top of the A-Frame instead of on the platform. This eliminates the need for guide sheaves and leaves the platform clear of equipment, giving optimum access and providing a safe workspace.

The system has a number of other distinct advantages:

• Clump weight guide-wires to lend greater stability to the diving cage
• Stainless steel winches with a SWL of 750kg to effect a diving cage payload of 500kg
• A clump weight winch that can also function as a backup for recovering the diving cage and payload
• A control box with two connection points in case of HPU failure
