Power unit for accurate control over the suction relief valve
In order to increase suction relief value accuracy, Boskalis desired a local power pack mounted on the suction tube to directly power the suction relief valve cylinder and improve control over the dredging process.
For this custom application, Seatools developed a power unit able to cope with the harsh operating conditions that a hopper dredger suction tube is exposed to. With multiple units sold and operational, the power pack is a great success.
