Fall Pipe ROV for La Boudeuse

This fall pipe ROV was delivered to Jan de Nul for their rock dump vessel La Boudeuse. Designed to operate in high seawater temperatures and equipped with two survey frames, this ROV is capable of fully automated Dynamic Positioning, including autotrack capability.This facility allows very close control over the rockdump process, minimising spillage and preparation time and optimising progress.The ROV's control system has a direct interface with the vessel's DP system, so that effectively the vessel follows the ROV and one operator can control the entire process.As with all of Seatools' advanced systems, the ROV for La Boudeuse was simulated in advance in order to ensure optimum performance and to minimise the duration of commissioning and sea-trials.The ROV was delivered together with a constant tension umbilical winch.
